CHALLENGE:

SHOW OFF PORTAL-BASED GUNPLAY WITH PRO-SPORT ATTITUDE

In the not-so-far-off future, pro athletes compete with hi-tech weapons in packed stadiums. And they do it all with portals. This simple feature opens up a world of play-styles and squad strategies in Splitgate 2. It’s also what draws in players from all walks of gaming, from Halo faithfuls, to loyal Portal (test) subjects.

The competition is fierce, both in-game and in the multiplayer shooter genre. Showing up isn’t enough to stand out. Plus, new players who missed the first Splitgate need an onboarding before their first match.

Our game plan came together in three-parts: hit a high-skill ceiling, with clear gameplay and messaging, all infused with sporting arena hype.
